FOUNDING FATHERS is now in its infancy. As this community organization grows, more programs will be available. This is a community organization built "By the People, For the People." Those who become active in FOUNDING FATHERS has the ability to make an equal impact and develop programs they feel would benefit Lower Township.

Project "One Voice"
FOUNDING FATHERS program #001

"One Voice" is a program designed to offer the citizens of Lower Township with means to express their concerns. Those concerns can be forwared to FOUNDING FATHERS by posting on the Founding Fathers Forum. FOUNDING FATHERS will work with you and other fellow citizens of our community to come up with a solid solution. Concerns will be posted on the forum, on this web site on the Projects page, and may be posted on other sites and/or newspapers, etc. Feed back is encouraged and necessary. The feed back we received from our fellow citizens will enable us to provide the best possible solution. Once a solid solution is obtained, the plan will be forwarded by FOUNDING FATHERS to the respective Township departments, Local organizations, and any other entity that may be responsible for the execution of the plan.

This is how it works:
You contact FOUNDING FATHERS and write for instance, that you were walking down the Lower Township bike path and noticed that it is extremely littered and debris is strewn about the path. It is even difficult to ride your bike or rollerblade because of dog feces, sticks, cans,etc. FOUNDING FATHERS posts the concern and asks the the citizens of Lower Township for possible solutions. After all data is compiled and a solution is obtained, FOUNDING FATHERS will forward both the concern and a solid solution to the respective destination. In this case, FOUNDING FATHERS, would suggest that the Lower Township Department of Public Works run the street sweeping truck down the path once a week. FOUNDING FATHERS would ask the Department of Public Works if that is a feasible idea and FOUNDING FATHERS would request a confirmation of ACTION/INACTION. FOUNDING FATHERS will continue to pursue action until a favorable outcome is obtained. When a favorable outcome is obtained, FOUNDING FATHERS, will post the outstanding job the Department of Public Works did and how we, the citizens of Lower Township, are grateful for our Township Employees.

Project "Citizen Recognition"
FOUNDING FATHERS program #002

This program is designed for the citizens of Lower Township to recognize and commend other members of the community for their hard work and dedication towards the betterment of our community that they demonstrate on a daily basis. A Lower Township citizen will be selected on a Monthly and Yearly basis. Once a month a Lower Township Citizen will be selected as "Citizen Of The Month." The citizen will be selected "By the People, For the People." Nomination and Voting will take place on Founding Fathers Forum. Simply post your nominee and reason for nomination . The nominees will be posted and voted on via the forum. In each calender month the nominees will be eligible for "Citizen Of The Month." At the end of the year a compilation of all of our past "Citizens Of The Month" will be eligible . Again same voting process with apply. FOUNDING FATHERS "Citizen of the Month" and "Citizen of the Year" will receive an award presented by FOUNDING FATHERS and the citizens of Lower Township.

This is how it works:
Nomination will be accepted throughout the month and a selection will be made by the last day of the eligible month. The chosen selection of "Citizen of the Month" will be announced on the first day of the following month. Citizens of Lower Township, FOUNDING FATHERS urges our citizens to participate in this very meaningful program. So many times charitable and note worthy deeds go unrecognized. Deserving citizens should be recognized for their honorable and faithful dedication to our community.
